The Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in global policy studies. Applications are sought from creative, interdisciplinary scholars conducting significant policy relevant research on pressing global issues.
 
The successful candidate will be a fellow at the Strauss Center and will hold an appointment in at least one of the three following colleges or schools: the LBJ School of Public Affairs, the School of Law, or College of Liberal Arts. Although it is anticipated that the position will be filled at the assistant professor level, candidates seeking a more senior position will be considered. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their home department or school and conduct research at the Strauss Center. Disciplinary affiliation is open to candidates from any appropriate discipline, including but not limited to: law, economics, history, political science, sociology, geography, and public policy. Candidates should have the potential for excellence in research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
 
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree and have a strong research agenda for productive scholarship. The Robert S. Strauss Center is a multidisciplinary research center at the University of Texas dedicated to promoting policy-relevant scholarship on the pressing global challenges of the 21st Century.
