ACLED Releases February 2014 Conflict Trends Report

The February 2014 issue of Conflict Trends discusses conflict dynamics in Central African Republic, Kenya, Mozambique, and South Sudan, and provides an overview of the recently launched Version 4 dataset through the lens of conflict-related fatalities across the continent.

In this month’s issue, ACLED researchers examine the fatality figures across the African continent using the new version of the ACLED conflict events dataset. Also covered in the report is the increasing violence in Central African Republic, especially against non-combatants; conflict dynamics stemming from ethnic and religious tension in Kenya; an increase in violent conflict in Mozambique; and the declining prospects for peace in South Sudan.
