Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s Security Legacy

On Thursday, February 20, 2017, the Strauss Center’s Mexico Security Initiative invited Dr. Viridiana Rios of Purdue University for a conversation with Mexico Security Fellow Stephanie Leutert. The talk addressed Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto’s security policy over the past four years and evaluated what his administration had accomplished. With a presidential election coming up in 2018, the talk also covered possible recommendations for an incoming Mexican president and his or her team.
