Slick Quoted in NYT Article on Iranian Nuclear Site Failure

Professor Stephen B. Slick, Director of UT’s Intelligence Studies Project, a venture co-sponsored by the Strauss Center and Clements Center, was recently quoted in a New York Times article about the recent attack on uranium centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz enrichment site. The incident raised alarm bells given that the last time such an incident occurred it was the result of a joint American and Israeli cyberattack. Professor Slick, who previously managed the U.S. intelligence community’s relationships with Israeli counterparts noted that Israel had ample motives to undertake such an attack, labeling it a signal to Israel’s allies in Washington, D.C. and simultaneously a reminder to Iran of its persistent vulnerability.
