Distinguished Scholar Alan Kuperman appeared on RT network's news show CrossTalk last Tuesday.  Joined by host Peter Lavelle, senior editor of the National Review David Pryce-Jones and political scientist Omar Baddar, Kuperman discussed the "Arab Spring" and whether it may be slowing down or even at risk of being hijacked by new strong-men or dictators.

Kuperman is not optimistic about the future of Libya, asserting that the international community saw the beginning of a fairy-tale democratization that would be difficult if not impossible to actually play out due to Libya's divisions along political, ethnic and tribal lines.  It was also his opinion that NATO's involvement in Libya has extended what would have been a short conflict.
