Strauss Center Distinguished Scholar Terri Givens recently co-led a Task Force for the American Political Science Association (APSA) on the future of the Political Science discipline.

According to APSA, the Task Force focused on two major questions: "Is political science positioned to embrace and incorporate the changing demographics, increasing multicultural diversity, and ever-growing disparities in the concentration of wealth present in many nation-states? Can political science do so within its research, teaching, and professional development?" To answer these questions, the Task Force took a comprehensive look at the discipline, including everything from undergraduate curriculum to the subjects on which Political Scientists conduct research to the recruitment and evaluation of faculty in the field. The Task Force has just released its report, Political Science in the Twenty First Century, which is available at: http://www.apsanet.org/imgtest/TF_21st%20Century_AllPages_online2.pdf.
