Aerospace Policy Solutions LLC Award in Space Policy Awarded to Brittany Silvester

The Strauss Center for International Security and Law is delighted to announce that Brittany Silvester will be awarded the inaugural Aerospace Policy Solutions LLC Award in Space Policy. This $2000 award, sponsored by Aerospace Policy Solutions LLC, is given to an exceptional UT-Austin student engaged in research related to space policy or interested in pursuing work related to space policy analysis and development after graduation.

Brittany Silvester is a second-year J.D. student at the University of Texas School of Law. Prior to law school, Brittany earned her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and minor in Spanish from the University of Florida. Throughout her career, Brittany has participated in several NASA internships in various capacities, ranging from researching Disruptive Modal Coupling technology for SLS vibrational damping to working as a commercialization analyst in NASA’s Technology Transfer Office. Brittany’s career goals and research interests lie at the intersection of interplanetary space travel and the law. Specifically, she is interested in determining how the law will govern sustainable methods of establishing long-term human presence on the Moon and Mars.
