
The LBJ School of Public Affairs and the LBJ Presidential Library will host twelve-term Congressman from Long Island, NY, the Honorable Peter King, U.S. House of Representatives (R-NY) on Monday, November 9, for a special noontime “conversation” with university students, faculty and staff. Representative King will deliver his remarks, followed by a Q&A session on the 10th Floor Atrium of the LBJ Library. The event is scheduled to begin at 12:10 PM and conclude at 1:30 PM. Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, Representative King is also a member of the Homeland Security Committee. He also serves on the Financial Services Committee and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. The Congressman has been a leader in the ongoing effort to have Homeland Security funding based on threat analysis and is a strong supporter of the war against international terrorism, both at home and abroad.
