The 2012 Next Generation Project Texas Assembly will be held November 1-3, 2012 at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa just outside Austin, Texas.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa for the second-annual Next Generation Project Texas Assembly November 1st – 3rd, 2012.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
A room will be reserved for you at the Hyatt for the nights of November 1st and 2nd.  Please see the PDF below for your confirmation number. 

If you plan on flying to Austin, you have two options.  You may book your own flight and we will reimburse you for this expense after the Assembly.  If you would like the Strauss Center to book your flight, please contact Jacqueline Chandler at jchandler@austin.utexas.edu or 512-471-6226 to make those arrangements. 

Please take a cab from the airport to the Hyatt Lost Pines.  It will cost approximately $30 and should take about 20 minutes.  You will be reimbursed for this expense.

If you are driving to the Hyatt, the Strauss Center will reimburse you for mileage from your home address to the Hyatt (and vice versa).  We will also cover the cost of valet parking.

AGENDA
The Assembly will kick-off with a welcome reception the evening of Thursday, November 1st.  It will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, November 2nd, the Assembly will begin in the morning at around 8:00.  The keynote speaker at lunch will be Mr. Evan Smith, Editor-in-Chief of The Texas Tribune.  We will have a panel talk and several small group discussions throughout the day.  Mr. Jack Martin, Global Chairman of Hill + Knowlton Strategies will provide keynote remarks at the dinner.

It will be a short day on Saturday, November 3rd.  The Fellows will guide the discussions in the morning based on what they discussed in their groups the previous day.  We will wrap-up no later than noon.

DRESS CODE
The Hyatt Lost Pines is a very relaxed resort, so we ask that you dress business casual.
