Dec 21, 2022 |

The Robert Strauss Center and Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law are pleased to announce that Jean Galbraith, Professor of Law at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, is the winner of the 2022 Mike Lewis Prize for National Security Law Scholarship.

Professor Galbraith’s article, The Runaway Presidential Power over Diplomacy was published in the Virginia Law Review this year. For her outstanding work advancing the study of national security law, Professor Galbraith is awarded $1000, thanks to generous donations to the Mike Lewis Prize Fund (please see the Mike Lewis Prize page here for more information on donating to the fund and the nomination process).

The Mike Lewis Prize was established in 2017 by the Robert Strauss Center and Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law (ONU), in consultation with the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) Section on National Security Law. The prize honors Professor Mike Lewis of ONU, a much-loved colleague and prolific scholar who passed away in 2015.
