May 2025 Asylum Processing Report Released

The Central America and Mexico Policy Initiative (CAMPI), led by our CAMPI Director Stephanie Leutert and CAMPI Fellow Caitlyn Yates, have released the quarterly report on Asylum Processing at the U.S.-Mexico Border. This May 2025 asylum processing update focuses on current U.S. asylum policies at ports of entry and migrants’ experiences in Mexican border cities. Since the Trump Administration assumed office and halted asylum processing, the conditions for migrants along the border have changed dramatically.
