Aakanksha Mahajan

Cybersecurity Clinic Student

Aakanksha Mahajan is a junior pursuing a double major in Informatics with a concentration in Human-Centered Data Science and Plan II Honors, along with a Business minor and a certificate in Computer Science. Her academic and extracurricular journey reflects a deep curiosity about how data, design, and technology can be combined to create secure, user-centered solutions that empower people.

Aakanksha’s passion for cybersecurity stems from her commitment to building innovative, ethical, inclusive, and trustworthy technologies. With a strong interest in product management, she is particularly drawn to the intersection of human-centered design and security, ensuring that digital tools are not only accessible and intuitive but also protect user privacy and foster trust.

This past summer, she worked as a Product Operations Intern at Rocket Mortgage. On campus, she is actively involved in organizations such as Texas Women in Informatics, where she serves on the officer board, as well as Texas Product Catalyst, Texas Convergent, and Hook ’Em Bhangra. Outside of her professional interests, Aakanksha enjoys baking, dancing, discovering new music, and exploring hidden coffee shops around Austin.
