Advik Katiyar

Cybersecurity Clinic Student

Advik Katiyar is an Informatics student with a concentration in Human-Centered Data Science at The University of Texas at Austin with experience applying analytics and machine learning to real-world problems. He is also earning certificates in Computer Science and Business Foundations. He has worked on data-driven sustainability analysis for Intel through the Global Career Accelerator and built predictive and ML-based systems in areas ranging from insurance risk to emotion recognition.

Through the Texas Cybersecurity Clinic, Advik aims to explore the field of cybersecurity by gaining hands-on experience working with clients and applying the technical skills he is developing in an applied, service-oriented setting. He is particularly interested in understanding how data, risk, and security intersect in real-world systems and in evaluating cybersecurity as a potential long-term career path.
