John “Nick” Kantas

National Security Law Fellow

John “Nick” Kantas is a 3L at the University of Texas School of Law and a National Security Law Student Fellow at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law. Before law school, Nick served as an active-duty U.S. Army logistics officer. While assigned to Torii Station, Japan, he commanded a forward support company. His Army service and legal studies have informed an interest in national security, constitutional law, and civil liberties. 

Nick received a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Westminster Theological Seminary. At Texas Law, Nick serves as the Managing Editor of the Texas Review of Law & Politics and as a Bible study leader for the Christian Legal Society.
