Jordan Hirsch

Senior Fellow

Jordan Hirsch is a Senior Fellow in the Technology, Security, and Global Affairs Program at the Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Law. Previously, he practiced law at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.  There, he advised clients in matters such as high-stakes cybersecurity incidents, national security-related investigations, surveillance and law enforcement compliance and litigation, regulatory and legal challenges involving supply chain security and information and communications technologies, and challenges confronting the aerospace and defense sector. Prior to joining Covington, Jordan clerked for Judge José A. Cabranes, United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and formerly Presiding Judge of the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review. Jordan was also a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies at Columbia University and a Next Generation National Security Fellow at the Center for a New American Security.  Jordan began his career in journalism, serving as a Robert L. Bartley Fellow at the Wall Street Journal and an editor at Foreign Affairs. Jordan graduated from Columbia University and Yale Law School.
