Riya Addula is a junior from Flower Mound, Texas pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Business Foundations. She is particularly interested in the intersection of data analytics, software engineering, and business.
As a previous Data Analytics Intern at Lockheed Martin, she developed tools to ensure data integrity across her team’s internal databases. Through this role, she developed a detail-oriented approach to problem solving and learned the importance of secure data pipelines, motivating her to further explore cybersecurity and its applications.
On campus, Riya is a member of the Natural Sciences Council, where she works to ensure student voices are represented within the College of Natural Sciences. She has also conducted research with the Geometry of Space Lab, collaborating with peers to develop and evaluate machine learning models for classifying variable stars. In her free time, she enjoys stargazing, hiking, and attending live music shows around Austin.
