Spenser Wilhelm

National Security Law Fellow

Spenser Wilhelm is a 2L at The University of Texas School of Law and a National Security Law Fellow at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law. Before beginning his legal studies, Spenser served as an officer in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps, working as a company executive officer and an Unmanned Aerial Systems platoon leader. He deployed throughout Europe and trained alongside foreign militaries. He holds a Master of Arts in Military Operations-National Security from Liberty University, earned with high distinction, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Evangel University, where he graduated summa cum laude. Spenser’s military background has shaped his interest in the intersection of national security law, intelligence, emerging technology, and military operations. Upon graduation, he will transition from the Military Intelligence Corps to the Army Judge Advocate Corps.
