Mr. Todd G. Smith is a PhD student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a BA in political science from Lipscomb University, a JD from Emory University, and a Masters in Public Affairs from the LBJ School. Mr. Smith’s primary policy interests are poverty reduction, sustainable development, sustainable use of natural resources, and climate change adaptation in sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked with Médicins Sans FrontiÃ¨res in China and Ethiopia, and with Impumelelo Innovations Award Trust in South Africa where he was the primary author of the recently published tenth volume in Impumelelo’s Series of Best Practice, the second to focus on environmental programs.
