Travis O’Connor

Travis is a cybersecurity professional with experience in threat detection, incident response, digital forensics, and enterprise security engineering. In his role as a Cybersecurity Analyst at the Texas Water Development Board, he monitors and analyzes security alerts, conducts vulnerability assessments, performs forensic investigations, and provides ongoing threat intelligence reporting to IT leadership. He has designed, implemented, and maintained core security infrastructure, including antivirus platforms, access controls, cloud applications, and enterprise endpoint protection, and administers the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to strengthen organizational defenses. His work also includes security awareness training, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and supporting real-time mitigation during active cybersecurity incidents.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Defense and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Security and Privacy at The University of Texas at Austin. Based in Austin, he continues to expand his expertise in cloud security, incident response, and enterprise defense operations.
