Lorena is a student at the University of Texas at Austin with a strong interest in computer architecture. Her curiosity in the field grew from a desire to understand how hardware and software interact, which later expanded into an interest in system security and how architectural design decisions can impact resilience and vulnerability. At the University of Texas at Austin, she continues to grow her technical skills through hands-on coursework and projects that deepen her understanding of system-level design and secure computing.
In addition to her technical work, she serves as a teaching assistant, where she enjoys supporting students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills. Lorena is motivated by a desire to better understand how performance, efficiency, and security intersect, and to apply this knowledge to building effective and resilient computing systems.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, gaming, reading, and drawing.
