The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics is excited to announce that 15 colleges, universities, and collaborative initiatives across the U.S. will receive $1 million in grants and additional support from Google’s Cybersecurity Clinics Fund to launch new cybersecurity clinics. The funding from Google.org, the company’s philanthropic arm, is part of a $25-million+ investment to develop 25 U.S.-based clinics by 2025, in collaboration with @The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics. This effort is helping to propel forward the vision of the Consortium to establish a cybersecurity clinic in every U.S. state by 2030.
The Strauss Center’s Applied Cybersecurity Community Clinic, lead by Francesca Lockhart, is a member of the Consortium, and is dedicated providing students with hands-on cybersecurity experience while also providing pro bono services to target-rich, resource-challenged community organizations, small businesses, and public sector agencies.
