Strauss Center Distinguished Scholars Kate Weaver and Michael Findley recently released the Innovations for Peace and Development (IPD) Annual Report for 2016. Weaver and Findley are IPD’s Co-Directors, and established the Center at the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 to conduct research in international conflict management, global economic governance, and poverty alleviation.

The 2016 report details IPD’s accomplishments over the past year, including research initiatives conducted for the Strauss Center’s Complex Emergencies and Political Stability in Asia (CEPSA) program. The report recognizes the invaluable contributions of Faculty and Student Affiliates, and highlights of the work of students’ internships over the past summer, including the Strauss Center’s Brumley Next Generation Graduate Fellow Emma Kent’s internship with InterAction in Washington D.C.; Crook Fellow Anna Koons’ internship at the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network in Washington, D.C.; Crook Fellow Laura Richards’ AidData Summer Fellowship at the Women of Uganda Network in Kampala, Uganda; and former Brumley Scholar Jake Barnett’s work as Research Assistant at the Africa Center for Strategic Studies in Washington, D.C.
