Emily Nejad

Cybersecurity Clinic Student

Emily Nejad is a senior majoring in Government and History with a minor in International Business. On campus, she currently serves as president of TEDxUTAustin. She is also involved with the World Economic Forum’s Austin Hub of Global Shapers and is an undergraduate fellow at the Clements Center for National Security. She worked at a computer repair store for two years which sparked her initial interest in Cybersecurity. Her professional experiences include internships at the Strobe Talbott Center for Security, Strategy, and Technology of the Brookings Institution, the Office of State Senator César Blanco (SD-29), and the Civil Rights Division of the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. She spent a summer studying European politics and security in Budapest, Hungary and was a spring 2025 Archer fellow. She enjoys going to concerts, making jewelry, hiking, and reading.
