Evan Le

Cybersecurity Clinic Student

Evan Le is a sophomore from Plano, Texas, studying Informatics at UT Austin, with a focus on HCDS and Minors in Statistics & Data Science and Business. He became interested in cybersecurity while studying for his Certified Information Privacy Professional exam last year, where he learned about the importance of protecting consumers and the dangers of leaked data. Through his Cyber Defense externship and client consulting projects, he has become drawn to the intersection of technology, AI, business, and cybersecurity. Evan wants to work on products where protecting the people using them is part of the design from the start.

Last summer, Evan was a product management intern at Cloudflare in Austin, where he built an internal application that automated manual work for the Revenue Operations team to increase efficiency and accuracy. He also learned a lot about how a company at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI works towards creating a safer, stronger internet.

On campus, Evan is part of Texas Product Engineering Organization (TPEO), Texas Convergent (Forge Product), Texas Product Catalyst (TPC), Business Analytics Association (BAXA), and the Informatics Undergraduate Student Council (iUSC) as the Event Planning Officer. Outside of class, he plays basketball and violin, and loves to watch movies.
