Anika Yamdagni is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Computer Science, with minors in Business and Statistics & Data Science and a Certificate in Applied Statistical Modeling. Her academic and professional interests lie in cybersecurity, applied machine learning, and software engineering. Her passion for cybersecurity began in high school through CyberStart America, where she earned recognition as a National Cyber Scholarship Semifinalist.
She has worked as an Honors Scholars Intern at the Applied Research Laboratories, applying particle swarm optimization to waveform design in support of national security applications. This past summer, she was a Software Developer Intern at IBM, where she contributed to Concert, an AI-powered resiliency platform, focusing on full-stack development, load testing, and pipeline automation.
On campus, Anika serves as the Tech Committee Director of ATX Science Olympiad, a student organization dedicated to supporting STEM education for middle and high school students. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading, dancing, playing tennis and pickleball, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
