Neha Indolikar is a sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a concentration in Human-Centered Data Science. She is also earning certificates in Computer Science and Applied Statistical Modeling. Her interest in cybersecurity stems from her passion for understanding how data, technology, and human-centered design intersect to build secure and ethical systems, particularly in the public sector and community-focused work.
Neha is especially interested in how cybersecurity and data science can support informed decision-making, protect user privacy, and strengthen digital infrastructure for small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Through her academic coursework and project-based experiences, she has developed a strong foundation in data ethics, user experience design, and applied analytics, which she hopes to use to address real-world cyber policy and defense challenges.
Alongside her academic interests, Neha is a small-business owner of a skincare brand and is actively involved in the Informatics Undergraduate Student Council, Women in Informatics, and UT Women in STEM. She enjoys baking, playing the viola, dancing, traveling, and exploring matcha shops around Austin.
