Priyanka Bhutani is a rising senior, majoring in International Relations & Global Studies and Government, with minors in History and International Business and a certificate in Security Studies. Her interests center on the nexus of intelligence analysis and policymaking, particularly in energy geopolitics and state-backed foreign policy.
At UT Austin, Priyanka is a Tearline researcher with the Intelligence Studies Project, contributing to open-source intelligence work in collaboration with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and is a researcher for the Policy Agendas Project, where she codes congressional legislation to track policy trends. Priyanka is also an undergraduate fellow at the Clements Center for National Security, a Global Fellow for the International Relations & Global Studies Department, and is writing a thesis with departmental honors. She has previously completed national security study abroad programs in the United Kingdom, Korea, and the Baltics with the Clements Center.
Off campus, Priyanka is on the recruitment team for Alpha Xi Delta and supports outreach efforts and philanthropy engagements with Helping Hand Home in Austin. In the past, Priyanka has interned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where she gained firsthand experience in legislative research and press. After graduation from UT, Priyanka hopes to work in Washington, D.C. and pursue a graduate degree.
