Former Brumley Fellow Publishes Brumley Project on Oversight Policy in Intelligence Activities

Diana Bolsinger, former Brumley Fellow at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law at the University of Texas at Austin, recently published an article in Taylor & Francis Online about congressional oversight in CIA and other intelligence operations throughout the Reagan administration and beyond. This was research taken from her Brumley project while she was a Brumley Fellow in 2018-2019.
“This episode highlights how well-organized lobbyists may affect the intelligence agenda and challenges assumptions that wider engagement in oversight will always restrain intelligence agencies’ overreach,” she writes.
