Ross Van Horn

Mr. Ross Van Horn is a graduate student at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and the Latin American Studies Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. Before returning to graduate school, he worked at the United States Department of Labor in Washington, DC. In 2009 he conducted a year long study on Brazil’s 2006-2011 bio-fuel development strategy as a Fulbright Fellow. Mr. Van Horn has also worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea) in Brasilia, Brazil, as a visiting researcher. His research interests include social policy evaluation, local elections, and methods. He holds a BA in Political Science from Bates College.
